Stink Bugs usually infest homes in the south. They have a shield shaped body, a piercing mouth and straight antennae. They mostly have a plant based diet such as tomatoes, apples, peppers and peaches to name a few. Stink bugs love fresh produce so be careful with where you put your fruit at home. Stink bugs typically infest houses in the later summer mostly to get away from the cold winter coming. They will usually find small openings or cracks in your home and get inside of the walls, inside crawl spaces and especially attics. Around Springtime, they move into the open and will aim for cracks along the foundation of your home to hunt for their food or enjoy the warm weather. If you are planning to take out a stink bug by yourself, remember they might emit a very fowl odor...hence their name. Stink Bugs can actually cause allergic reactions in some people and they can also cause a skin rash if they touch your skin. They invade in large numbers so if you think you might have a stink bug infestation, please don't hesitate to call us!
